从《Get back》到《Let it be》，最百感交集的Album。
最能代表Beatles解散期间，几个人心理过程的专辑，毫无疑问是《Let it be》。
这是一个灾难性的时刻。 Paul说，那是他人生最灰暗的时候。直到很多年以后，他都不愿意唱那时候写的歌。
Martin说，这是最不幸、最不开心的时候。他觉得Beatles们都变得没法相处，他觉得路已经走到了尽头。
《Let it be》原本计划命名为《Get back》。 Paul给它做了一个完整而宏伟的规划，电影和专辑同时推出，把一场现场演出作为让电影的结尾。 并让这场演出成为多年没有现场演出的Beatles回归的开场。回到从前那样，重新开始巡演。
但最后，一切都砸了。 电影成了一部四不像，专辑没了Martin，被警察打断的演唱会成了Beatles的Last Show。
录制过程中，由于Martin不在，Paul担任起了指挥的角色，总想按自己的想法录歌。
Yoko一直一言不发的待在录音室，牵扯着John的注意力。 Ringo什么意见也不发表，完全不和George以外的人说话。
创作已经成熟了的George，不再像从前一样没有想法，他和Paul数次口角。最终出走。
最后的演出没有放在计划中华丽的水上油轮进行，而是四个人匆匆爬上了Apple的屋顶。
在《Let it be》的电影中，我们可以完整地看到这场Last Show中，John和Paul的和声仍然完美，相互之间的仍然是那么默契十足。
唱《Don't Let Me Down》时，John像他和Paul第一次见面那样，把歌词忘了。John也像他和Paul第一次见面那样，用胡乱哼哼给代过去了。Paul一脸了解的冲他笑。
当警察上到屋顶以后，两个人对看一眼，很快就同时开始再次演奏《Get Back》，没有商量，也没有迟疑。
演唱会以《Get Back》开场，以《Get Back》结束。但Beatles却再也没回去。
George出走又回来。 Paul和John的意见始终统一不了，每首歌都不停的反复录制，大家都烦了，专辑却拖拖拉拉没有尽头。
最终，一塌糊涂的《Get Back》像垃圾一样被扔掉的了。 所有计划都落空，几个人闹得极不愉快。
失落的Paul打电话给Martin，想要“试着像以前一样”录一盘专辑。
Martin回忆到，《Abbey Road》录制得快得惊人，合作也很愉快。 但分歧依旧存在，写歌的方面，Martin说他们几乎已经没有交集了，每录一首歌，他只和一个人打交道，其他人只负责伴奏。
John已经不一样了，不再沉迷于唱片制作。他和Paul与Martin的创作理念已经有了巨大的分歧。
Paul和Martin想在《Stg Pepper》上更上一层，按照古典音乐的方式，制作一个大的交响乐式的乐章。 但John不认同他们的工作，他称其为“胡搞”，不是摇滚乐。
最终，Martin做了一个折中，把A面的歌曲尽量按照John的想法，以摇滚的方式做得简单、本色。 B面，则完全按照他和Paul的想法，把好几首歌和一些片断相互串接，连贯成得浑然一体。
George总觉得这张专辑没法把握，John和Paul按自己的想法，把什么都往《Abbey Road》里面塞，弄成了一个大杂烩。 以至于尽管花了那么多时间去制作它，George还总觉得这张专辑简直不像他们的。
《Abbey Road》结束之后，Beatles分道扬镳。 大概因为Martin在《Abbey Road》里和他看法不同，John找来了Phil Spector做制作人，把废弃的《Get Back》制作出版。
Beatles不可能再《Get back》了，只能是《Let it be》。
《Let it be》里，John最经典的两首歌，《Across the Universe》是成于和Cynthia争吵。《Don't let me down》是成于和Yoko的热恋。
而Paul的几首歌，简直就是他对John感情变化的心路历程完整地反映。
《Two of Us》，是Paul对他和John友谊的全面回忆，和乐观的期待。
《Get Back》，是Paul在失望后，留着最后一点希望，对John的反复的热切呼唤。
《The Long And Winding Road》，表达了Paul对一种到达不了的目标的渴望。
《Let it be》，是Paul绝望后，黑暗中的自我安慰。
